Andronic Yagubianz, a violin-maker
— Biography —
Andronic Aramovich Yagubianz was born in Rostov on Don.
He had a classical music and teacher education: graduated music school named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, Rostov Art College and Rostov State Pedagogical Institute.
In 1990 he established the early music ensemble which lasted for 15 years.
Andronic Yagubianz has more than 30 years of experience in restoration and manufacturing of musical string instruments and bows.
In 1987 Andronic Yagubianz started an extensive work which was supposed to renovate techniques of ancient Italian violin-makers. For more than 20 years he has been analyzed several dozen musical instruments, manufactured by famous violin-makers Stradivari, Guarneri, Amati, Ruggieri. As a result he established his own unique concept of violin, viola and cello-making which do not concede to the best traditional Italian musical instruments.
In 1998 Yagubianz completed 8-years research studies on his own concept of French classical bow and became the first-ever winner from Rostov region in the competition of masters named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow.
After it Andronic Yagubianz twice participated in the competition of violin-makers named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, became the second winner and won a silver medal for his cello.
НFor decades the most outstanding musicians of Russia, China, Germany, Czech Republic, Finland, Israel, France and other countries have been playing musical instruments manufactured by Andronic Yagubianz.
Andronic Yagubianz is one of the few Russian masters who has a certificate for the expertise and issues the permit to export musical instruments abroad.
Alongside the manufacturing of musical instruments he applies himself to teaching and concert work.
